Babysitter Course Stettler


Have a young person in your life who wants to be a babysitter, earn a little extra pocket money or just take care of their siblings. This Babysitter Course in Stettler is sponsored by the Canada Safety Council. It covers all the fundamental knowledge that every babysitter needs to know, from rights and responsibilities to what to do in an emergency. This course is ideal to be paired with an Emergency or Standard First aid course but can be used as a stand alone course for the basics.

Prerequisites for this course:

-must be 12 or turning 12 during the calendar year

-have the desire to learn about taking care of younger children

Course topics include:

Rights and Responsibilities, Child Development and Play, Caring for a Child and Nutrition, The Behaviour and Misbehaviour of Children, Handling Emergencies, Safety of Children and Basic First Aid, The Constrained Child, Exceptional Children.


At the end of this course the participants will receive a certificate for their wallet and their wall.
